Forged aluminum wheels that are lighter than magnesium
The U-shaped 5-spoke design used in PIEGA pursues a "balance" between rigidity, durability and weight reduction, and has achieved the highest level of weight reduction.
The resultant simple and intrepid form is not only incomparable to the stock wheels, but will also give your machine a unique look with its texture.
PIEGA is available in 4 colors. The sharp, semi-glossy "anodized aluminum finish" and the smooth, glossy "painted finish".
Both are available in black or gold (paint is OPTIONAL).
◆Production method
It is characterized by its high strength and tenacity.
The quality of the finished product depends on the level of the press capacity and the mold. The higher the press capacity and the closer the compression-molded material is to the finished product, the higher the quality of the product.
This wheel uses the world's top level forging presses and advanced molds capable of compression molding to the ideal shape.
◆Material
The characteristics of the material itself, which is a different dimension from the manufacturing method, is also an essential element in the production of high quality products.
Selection of the most suitable material for the forging process is the foundation of product manufacturing, and we use aluminum materials for forging that have been thoroughly examined.
◆Basic design
The decision to use this spoke design was based on the pursuit of a "balance" between rigidity and durability and weight reduction, and the result is a top-level weight reduction.
The result is a simple and intrepid form that cannot be compared to stock wheels.
The texture will give the machine a unique look and feel.
◆Spoke structure
The spoke structure adopts a "U-shaped cross-section" with a large gouge on the rear face in the direction of rotation to achieve both rigidity and weight reduction.
In addition, we have thoroughly examined the design for functionality and looks, such as side pocket processing and lightweight hole design.
◆Hub structure
Both front and rear wheels have a large-diameter one-piece monocoque hub structure finished by "hollowing and cutting" inside.
The front wheel is basically a one-piece structure without a disc flange except for some models, and the design of the disc rotor mounting area has been carefully machined to reduce the weight in grams.
◆Rim structure
The basic cross-sectional structure of the rim is "MT type rim" which conforms to "JWL (*1) " and "JASO (*2) " standards.
The thickness of the rim part is made thinner than that of the general die casting method (*3) by the high quality forging method, which greatly contributes to the reduction of inertia moment.
The dramatic improvement in the handling characteristics of the vehicle is evident in the feel and performance.
(*1) The strength standards for wheels set by wheel manufacturers and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
(*2) Standards established by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc.The standard is basically in accordance with JWL.
(*3) Generally referred to as a cast wheel, most stock wheels fall under this category.
◆Damper system
Damper system with various innovations for functionality and durability.
The rubber is made of high quality material and the damper bearing is a high capacity type with high durability.
◆Surface finish
The final finish treatment is a special hard anodizing with excellent durability.
The unique texture of the wheel, which is different from the painted finish, gives the wheel an assertive appearance and changes the presence of the motorcycle.
Component parts
All parts other than the wheel body are machined from 7075, a material known as ultra duralumin.
Pursuing a design that focuses on lightweight and functional beauty.(The finish is unified with black hard anodized aluminum.)
