SUZUKI RF900 (RF9)

This old girl was in need of a new front and rear pad change and the customer decided they wanted to give the Brembo Sintered SA a go to see if they suited. Finding the right pad set for this bike was not as hard as I thought it would be with it being so old. Brembo did have a couple of different compounds available for this but I though the racing ones were a bit overboard. Anyway, after checking Brembo website for fitments I then found these on Webike at a great overall price for the front and rear. I used EMS fast service and the order was delivered to my door within a week. All items in the order were packaged really well and any spaces in the outer box was filled out with extra padding. The pads came in their own packet which was sealed. The pads are just awesome. These will make you stop far better than some other brands in the same price range. The pads are well made and the sintered part shows no sign of degredation like some brands even when new. Just buy them and don't worry, you will stop. Thank for the great service Webike. About quality and texture - The CR9E spark plug from NGK is a standard resister plug with a heat rating of 9, made using high quality processes and materials.About the feeling of use - Having a different styled base then the original spark plug was what I needed to resolve my problem, I found the original spark plug would no longer full seat due to the step on the base and a migrated thread in the head. Changing to a spark plug with the same reach but a fully threaded base was the easiest way to over come this issue.Products to buy together - With the spark plug being a regular service item, key products to purchase when carrying out maintenance on my motorcycle would be crush washers, gaskets and the like as these products are cheap and convenient to have on hand.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the CR9E spark plug is an simple task that took 0.2 of an hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to firstly check the gap between the center electrode and the ground electrode and then install the spark plug onto the cylinder head.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products NGK sell to great value when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and the CR9E spark plug is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the CR9E spark plug, I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. Having heard a lot of good things about the SBS brand of brake pads, I decided it was time to give them a go on a different model. This bike is one of my own which does brake heavy and thought I would try the street excell sintered ones. Finding the correct part for fitment was pretty easy as I visited SBS website and put my model details in. Webike had these in stock and so ordered 2 sets with a few other parts. The shipping was fast and via EMS, delivered to me in 5 days.All was packed really well and did not move during transit, no damage at all. The pads came in their own SBS branded packet and arrived with no chips or any visual damage at all. They feel solid and as they are sintered you can see teh different materials in the pads themselves, I do believe they have a higher than normal high heat resistance. I have not fitted them yet but that will be in the next few weeks. So far though, they look pretty good. Lets hope they perform as they should.View Detail

This was the screw for the GSX750Ffront reservoir. These are generally screws that if you do not have the right attachment that you can easily mess them up. This is the case here. The previous owner had used the wrong cross head bit and chewed up teh screw entirely. This meant I literally had to drill out the top of the screw to get it undone. I was also sorting out the diapgragm for this bike so it did need to come off. The correct screw was super easy to find as I already had the schematics from Yamaha and used the tools Webike provide anyway. The cost of the pair of screws was really good and with the rest of the parts I needed, I got them all shipped together. EMS is who I use these days as they just get the job done in great time. % days from shipping is when the order arrived. All the parts were very well packaged and the screws also came in a genuine Yamaha packet. They are really small but are very well machined. They have a black paint coating in the regualr satin finish. The threads are crisp and clean and free from flakes of metal. The went in perfectly and that is now one more job ticked off the long list for this bike. Great work Webike, very happy.View Detail
